Pain is my glory t will look amazing cant wait to cop. just a comment on all the guys talking about rereleases, i dont think any more slogan or any other t’s should be rereleased, even though i got AIMH and SIMD plat. i think rereleases devalue the OG pieces that why BAPE & BBC/Icecream etc has lost me totally.

^ I see your point to a certain extent BUT…
I think re-releases are good just as long as they are done in moderate volumes and with a twist i.e. A.I.M.H Platinum ed of Think Different Glow in the Dark.
So like I said, done with a twist, I don’t think it devalues the original piece. Especially for the fact that very limited runs are printed in the first place. I’m sure Bape do runs of thousands in each design/ colourway whereas T Magic doesn’t even print in the hundreds!

Speaking of rereleases he hasn’t even released most of as sweats let alone tees. I’m sure/hoping we will see the revival of the ones he hasn’t rereleased yet (which are all apart from AIMH and SIMD)
Re-releases are good but can indeed devalue the OG’s. However, done in a different colour way or use of inks can can work wonders. If you take a ponder through the frequently asked questions it clearly states
“We do not reprint once an item is sold out. However, we do make special releases from time to time where a sold out item is revived non-identical to the previous, for example in a different colourway or finish.”
I’m sure we’ll all agree that rerelease of the Think Different was ten times better than the original and possibly one of the most memorable releases of last year. I remember get a call from my friend then logging onto the site and losing my mind.
I’m happy with rereleases as long as there is some distinguishment made. All the people who have a A.I.M.H top from the second exhibition or even from the Slammin Kicks store know they have originals because the T-Magic logo would be white not platinum. So you know they have been down since then. Like I said I’m happy with rereleases as long as there is some distinguishment made.

Rereleases are good the way TMagic does them but I do see Johnny’s point (which applies to bigger brands).
Some interesting points made………
I was hoping for a Wet Dreams Platinum ed. last year. Maybe my wish will come true this year fingers crossed.
If he had only 1 design and kept on rereleasing and rereleasing it in different colours (like wot most so-called inde clothing brands do) I guess i’d have a problem wid dat but the man is full of ideas. I was just looking through the shop section at all the old releases. There’s soooooo many.

Johnny I gotta say you’re wrong here. The world’s No.1 luxury brand Louis Vuitton built their empire on rereleases. Every season is the same with a slight twist. Surely they’re doing something right.

Don’t mind rereleases just as long as it’s not over done which is not the case here
Some really good points made, I’m not totally against re-releases at all, like I said I got some of the plat tees, if there is a noticeable difference from the original then all good in my eyes. I’m not saying that Tmagic has done any stuff exactly the same I was talking of re-releases in general, I’m just not a fan of bringing the same stuff out over and over again.
Elliot the point made about LV, I see where your coming from totally, everyone knows the LV monogram logo it is a classic obviously they are doing something right like you pointed out. I think this is different though, I mean would you like to see an “Art Is my Hustle” Tee variation every year? Personally I wouldn’t but that’s just my opinion on it. Maybe I used the wrong word to describe it in the first post “devalue” I think it just takes the edge off the piece if you see it come back out a few months down the line.

Although, I would love to see variations of the A.I.M.H every year… Maybe more than just the T… For me it’s a classic design and I wouldn’t want it to just disappear… For me that’s TMagic’s equivalent to the LV monogram in a way. It’s what I’m sure the world know him by.
Would be great to see different styles of the Art is my Hustle as long as he keeps them VERY limited each year!!!!!!!!!!

However, it’s interesting to note that T.Magic has a virtual stalker as passionate, committed, emotional, fanatic and as obsessed as you. You’re on T.Magicworld more than he is!! I don’t believe anyone visits a site that they claim to “hate” as much as you do, so the logical conclusion is simply that you’re the brand’s virtual “Stan”. It’s a sad, yet beautiful thing! just a quick message for elliot, i know what you mean about the AIMH being Tmagic stand out logo i agree, i wouldnt want it to just never be used again. i would like to see it in a way that we aint seen yet, maybe like small AIMH logo on front and a large image on the back of the tee just to change it up abit.
