I think the documentary was a compelling rag to riches story. It was also a great source of inspiration for anyone who strives to be the best in their respected fields. We need more examples of things like this in the media. Great post

  22. Fidle

What I love about Jay-Z is he has such great business acumen for a rapper.

  23. Gee

Kelly – some good points raised. A T.Magic doc would be cool – Even though he hasn’t reach this type of success yet – It make seem more attainable.

Let’s give the man time to grow.

I think the documentary displayed the power of accomplishing dreams …and still going for more. He could be at home just sitting drinking tea..however he is still going hard like the world’s going to end tomorrow.

It showed me how you must always set the benchmark for excellence in your chosen field, taught me to master and hone my skill while in obscure shadows before the spotlight reveals all.

HJe is also grounded becasue of the people around him ,if you noticed throughout the doc. it was mainly friends and kids you would see with him in the dressing room.

I respect his work ethic and mentality, i heard him once say in the BLACK ALBUM documentary:

If its not excellent ..why bother?
