Abandoned Hope – Preview

September 4, 2008 in Street Art, T.Magic Collection | 72 Comments

What’s good peeps?

I present to you a 3 of 6 part preview of a piece entitled ‘Abondoned Hope’ that I’ve been working on for a couple of months now. I know you may be thinking “a couple of months?…How long does a painting take?” But the way I work is that I’ll start a painting and then get bored of it and put it aside. So I have numerous paintings that I’m working on at all times. More pics after the jump.

Thank you for all your comments.

  31. Henry

    good eye for composition

  32. esan

With a title like ‘Abandoned Hope’ I would like to see how T.Magic will turn this into something positive.

  33. Henry

I think it’s more about making a statement.

  34. Teacha 4a Better Future

My students have got the Tmagic bug already.
There is a 7minute Tmagic interview on You Tube that I never knew about, one of my students brought it to my attention at lunchtime.
If you want to get a ‘slight’ insight into the man’s mind, check it out.

Try not to be distracted by the slightly strange interviewer…I await your responses!

    Peace

  35. Henry

    Thank you Teacha

    Very thought provoking

  36. Ramo

I like his layed back style

  37. Rick1

It’s not very well edited but it’s interesting to see T.Magic speaking.
Did you see that guys wig?!?

  38. Henry

Rick – I saw him on About To Blow MTV Base sometime last year. He is a very good stylist

  39. Teacha 4a Better Future

I think it is a rough version, a very rough version.

I think the interviewer is a distant cousin of Russell Brand.

I agree with your comments, it is unusual to see such a passionate artist who creates such powerful images speak so calmly.
The funny thing is, when you guys meet him you will see he is exactly the same in person.
Calm, laid back and extremely humble…all he does is smile and appears almost embarrassed by the praise you give him…very intersting.

If only more successful people in the public eye shared the same characterstics.

    Anyway, the exhibition draws closer…

  40. Helen Foster

The interview must have been yesterday because I Youtubed T.Magic at the start of the week and couldn’t find anything.

    Nice interview.

  41. rick1

distant cousin of Russell Brand – LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  42. Gee

You did your thing son. Some straight up dope messages

  43. Lex

    He’s cool, calm and collected

  44. Utah

This guy is something else… When he speaks it’s like he commands your attention. Great interview.

  45. Jules

Good interview. He should post it on the blog

  46. Nadine

I’m seriously in love with him.
    Look at those dimples.
    Mwwwwaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh

  47. LightsOutttt

    I like his T.Magic’s style

  48. raydave

There’s something about him I just can’t put my finger on it.

  49. irfy

was the link for the tmagic vid on youtube? anyone?

  50. Shaun

Great thing about T Magic, first and foremost is that he is a great artist and actually loves what he is doing, inspired by the art besides the great business ethos and enterupuer skill/talent that he clearly possess by bringing his work to a wider market and also creating his “hustle” from it. I’m a self employed young guy and i was drawn to him firstly not for his art talent but how he can market and create and sustain a buzz….but now i have spent time looking at the art and his message (which echos mine and alot of people growing up in similar circumstances) i appreciate exactly what and why he does it.

Many people chat shit about making it, listen to a bit of jigga – but in the real life when your working 12 – 14 hour days on your own and theres no hype its a different ball game, one that sets you apart.

You deserve every success coming to you..

  51. Encs

    Pretty nice interview.

  52. Yuizi

My first sight of The Man, The Myth and The Legend

  53. Kelly

I like him. Think he’s cool

  54. NOTTS

It’s very unusual to come across a person that has an artistic flair and an entrepreneurial mind-set. Normally the two don’t mix.

  55. NOTTS

Love the pic by the way

  56. Caspa

Good advice given on the video T

  57. Lollipop08

I want the T-shirts in the background

  58. illion

I need to get on my hustle man.
    Thank you Teacha

  59. Pk

    Shaun, Good comment

  60. Winston

Just saw the footage for the first time. What an interesting guy. Like people have said previously, he’s such a calm dude.

    I like him

  61. Jules

Near the end he mention the exhibition was called ‘Under Construction’. I wonder why he changed the name? How long ago was this shot?

  62. Kane

T.Magic seems popular with the ladies. Lol

  63. Hilly

someone I need help. I tried to order a TM shirt that still states ‘available’ but is not going through for some reason.

  64. kane

Must be sold out. Try using the contact form at the top

  65. irfy

i know what it says in the background but i dont want to spoil it for others. I think it says????

  66. Illion

    ^ I think you’re just guessin

  67. Kane

    eeeerrrrrrrrrrr H.O.P.E maybe….

  68. Pk

Not suprized all the Tee’s had the ‘sold out’ sign at couple minutes past midnight. I pre-ordered mines since last week.
Now I await my lastest ‘Gems’

  69. felle

^I think T-Magic should consider bigger runs. There is a wide market for his products

  70. houdini

its magic sorry correction its T magic.

  71. wicks

absolutely brilliant and complex. I just love the contrast. I’m a stickler for that gritty look because it’s so raw and not overly produced.
